Roger Wolcott photograph album, ca. 1899.

Photograph album presented to Massachusetts governor Roger Wolcott by members of his staff at the end of his term in office, ca. 1899. The album contains 23 portrait photographs of Wolcott and his staff, all taken by Elmer Chickering of Boston. Most of the subjects are depicted in military dress and were active in the Massachusetts military during the Spanish-American War, which Wolcott strongly supported. Each page also includes the autograph of the subject. All of the images are black-and-white and paper-based.
